Sharron Russell’s story goes right back to the beginning in 2017. Having always loved art, creativity and making things over the years, creating had long been a big part of everyday life. But one day, while wondering what to paint next, her husband simply said, “Why don’t you paint a cow?” So she did.

That one painting became the start of something completely unexpected. Before long, the much-loved Quirky Cow had arrived and what followed was the beginning of the Quirky Cow & Farmyard Friends collection.

At the same time, daughter and best-selling author Hannah Russell, who had a passion for social media and storytelling, started taking photographs of her mum’s artwork and sharing it online. What began as a few photos and posts quickly started attracting attention and people instantly connected with the fun characters and unique style.

Not long after, the collection grew, the audience grew, and a brand was born. Today, Sharron’s artwork can be found in homes across the world, all thanks to one simple idea... and one painted cow. 🐄✨
